The Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship Program (PGP) allows Canadian citizens and permanent residents to sponsor their parents or grandparents for permanent residency in Canada. As part of Canada’s Family Class immigration, it promotes family unity and intergenerational support.
Sponsor Eligibility
To apply under the PGP, you must:
- Be 18 years or older
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- Meet Minimum Necessary Income (MNI) for 3 years
- Sign a 20-year financial undertaking (10 years in Quebec)
